"The Chicago office awarded your company two hotels in September of 1990. The Marten House in Indianapolis, which you worked successfully with our asset manager to sell to St. Vincent's Hospital, and the Airport Hilton in St. Louis. St. Vincent's was impressed with your professional management and awarded your company a contract. The St. Louis Airport Hilton was a major problem to ascertain the proper direction in increasing value to prepare for sale. Your company underwent an extensive rehab and put together a team to aggressively increase occupancy and profitability.
The results are rather dramatic. The first three months on 1990 you improved operating profits by $200,000. During 1991, while undergoing renovation, profits increased $800,000. Now, after three months, the property is ahead of projections which indicates 1992 will be over $1,000,000 improvements in profit over the previous management companies.

    Since their acquisition of the Sheraton Westport Hotel Plaza and Chalet in St. Louis, LHM has been a valuable ownership group within Starwood Hotels & Resorts. When they later built the Four Points by Sheraton Fairview Heights in Illinois, I was able to work with them directly in my role at Four Points brand management.
    Since they have opened their doors, the Four Points in Fairview Heights is consistently recognized as a top performer of our North American hotels and was honored as Hotel of the Year in 2005. Fairview Heights was also chosen to host a global Four Points meeting earlier this year and called out as a “best practice” for other properties.
    The property continues to pull in high guest satisfaction scores which, I believe, is largely because of the management team in place. The General Manager Stacy Cutler not only runs daily operations within the hotel, but was also chosen to sit on Starwood’s General Manager Advisory Council.
    I have enjoyed working with Stacy and LHM throughout our relationship, and look forward to expanding our business partnership in the future. Please take this letter as my letter of recommendation of LHM.
