Leadership

Craig R. Cobler

Senior Vice President of Development

Craig Cobler oversees the commercial real estate assets of LHM, directing the leasing and property management operations. In his role, he has successfully increased office occupancy rates at Westport Plaza from 70% occupancy to over 90% occupancy by securing new large tenants including Paric and Cassidy Turley.

He also has been successful in securing public financial assistance for several notable projects such as historic Union Station and the Cheshire Hotel and Restaurant exceeding $75,000,000 from the Cities of St. Louis, Collinsville, Edmonson, Richmond Heights, and Fairview Heights Illinois.

Additionally, Cobler has been instrumental in the purchase of several hotels under the banner of Hilton, Marriott, Starwood, and Holiday Inn.

In 1997, Cobler initiated a statewide movement in Missouri to form a self-funded worker’s compensation trust for hotel proprietors. He directed the activities of the trust for three years, after which the trust was profitably sold in the private sector. Cobler has provided expert testimony in Federal Court for the Resolution Trust Corporation. As the court appointed receiver, he managed hotel assets of the RTC, while preparing properties for sale.

Prior to joining LHM in 1986, Cobler managed several hotels for AIRCOA and Breckenridge Hotel Corporation that included Hiltons and independents.
