Director of Housekeeping

We are seeking an experienced Director of  Housekeeper for a busy airport property in St. Louis Area. This position will be responsible for Supervising, Managing, Training and Overseeing the Housekeeping Department. This candidate must possess a proven track record in directing the department to high standards for cleanliness, and has experience at properties of similar size. Candidate must be able to create a positive relationship with other departments.

Minimum 2+ years Supervisory Experience

A solid career progression through Housekeeping/Laundry ranks is a plus. Must be able to recruit and retain staff. Bilingual capabilities are a plus. The ideal candidate should possess a working knowledge of the Housekeeping areas and under the direction of this candidate, the team ensures that inspection programs are consistently maintained. Works closely with front desk, as well as with other departments, experienced in purchasing linens and housekeeping supplies. Must be current on the latest housekeeping and laundry technology. Candidate will work closely with maintenance to ensure OSHA and ADA policies are adhered to and can coordinate PM Programs with housekeeping, maintenance and front desk. Candidate must possess clear, concise written and verbal communication skills and have a proven track record promoting an atmosphere of “Teamwork”. Candidate must be able to lead by example, and be able to instill a “can-do” attitude in the team members. Must possess strong technical, organizational and time management skills, good knowledge of computers, strong customer service skills, exceptional “Attention To Detail” and excellent cost control ethics.
